Jan Bondaruk, Deputy Director for Environmental Protection (Główny Instytut Górnictwa – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy) in dialogue with Prof. Maria Loizidou (National Technical University of Athens) emphasizing the importance of the follow-up on the LIFE BRINE MINING project to address the environmental impacts of coal mining activities, they stressed the need to consider all aspects involved – socioeconomic, political, industrial, and environmental. Both highlighted the necessity of cooperation between science and industry to develop sustainable solutions. Prof Krzysztof Mitko on the operational challenges of the LIFE BRINE MINING demo plant installation in Ledziny, Poland during the 4th Stakeholder Event. Niels van Linden addressed the “limited” challenges LENTECH, as the technology provider, faced given the on-site conditions.
4th Stakeholder Event of the project in Poland
The LIFE BRINE MINING 4th Stakeholder Event took place at Poland. The meeting, which marked the final project event, held at the GIG premises, attracted a diverse audience, including policy makers, local government officials, representatives from the Polish Mining Group, members of the scientific community, and other key stakeholders.
